Timing belt

The timing belt is an important part of the car. The explosive power of the combustion of fuel causes the cylinders of the engine to be pushed down with force. The cylinders are attached to a crankshaft with a rod. The crankshaft is set in motion by the downward movement of the cylinders. The crankshaft drives the overhead camshaft by means of the timing belt. The timing belt makes the camshaft turn. This camshaft opens the intake and exhaust valves. These valves ensure that air, or a combination of air and a fuel mixture, is supplied and exhaust gas is removed.
